SHELF AWARENESS

Shelf Awareness project is an initiative of the National Library of Nigeria, Oyo State Branch and the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) towards sensitizing the general public of new books, journals and magazines.

Not everybody is aware that the National Library of Nigeria (NLN) is the harbor of new books. Shelf Awareness promises to be an avenue where voracious readers irrespective of their fields are kept abreast of new issues for their consumption. Details like – title, price, publisher, year of publication, info about the authors will be made available on the shelf for the uses of the general public.

Any reader or student who wants to know any information about any latest book(s), Magazine(s) and journal(s) of any professional body should contact Shelf Awareness blog for update and useful information.

The vision of the present Head of Board of the National Library of Nigeria, Oyo State Branch, Mr. B.A. Salawu is to take book reading and campaign to the grassroot people and to intimate the general public on what NLN stands for. NLN Readers Club is a witness  to this fact. The readers club was established to encourage readers and enhance their reading abilities.
